Your Result: Social Nerd

You're interested in things such as politics, psychology, child care, and peace. I wouldn't go so far as to call you a hippie, but some of you may be tree-huggers. You're the type of people who are interested in bettering the world. You're possible the least nerdy of them all; unless you participate in other activies that paled your nerdiness compared to your involvement in social activities. Whatever the case, we could still use more of you around. ^_^

march 5, 1994

let me commemorate this eventful day in my life.

he brought me home that night. it was somewhat late. as we got a ride in our village tricycle, i told him, "tignan mo yun", while pointing at the signage of the grocery store --- pacita foodmart. told him to remove pacita, and asked him what remained --- "foodmart," he quickly replied. then i asked him to remove the suffix 'mart' and asked him what's left. "food," he said. finally, i asked him to drop the f and the d. then he smiled and tightened his grip on my hand.

juvenile. yet to this day, i must admit that the boy still makes me smile - and believe that it is wonderful to fall in love.

the relationship did not last "til the last drop of my blood" fell. it did not even survive to hear erik santos' remake of its theme song. but the memories lasted, even outlasted those of recent experiences. and i will always be thankful to him for these good memories.

addicted

i so love this series. sobra ka-addict. i bought a copy of season 1 when i was still at kssc (that was like 6 months ago, at the minimum). it was only last monday evening when i tried watching it.
i finished only the first two episodes. it' s sooo enthralling.
melinda here, played by jennifer love hewitt, has a gift for seeing, listening and talking to dead people who have not "crossed over" yet. David Conrad, who plays his paramedic husband (they just got married ep1), Jim, is such a darling.
here's what wikipedia said:

Ghost Whisperer is an episodic series that follows the life of Melinda Gordon, a young woman who has the ability to see and communicate with the dead. Each episode deals with one or more ghosts seeking Melinda's help in relaying a message or completing a task that will put the spirit to rest, and allow them to "cross over" into The Light, a metaphor presented by the show as its conception of Heaven.

Despite the episodic structure of the show, plot lines that span two or three episodes (normally during season openers and finishers) develop and progress in a slow manner throughout the rest of the season. The first season arc introduced the show's
first antagonist, Romano, a negative entity in a black hat, who attempted to do the exact opposite of Melinda and gather earthbound souls and bring them to the Dark Side. The story climaxed in the season finale when a plane crashed in Grandview, and Melinda and Romano both attempted to sway the souls to the Light, and staying on earth, respectively. Her Best Friend
Andrea Marino was killed in the plane crash and, in a story that would carry over to the second season, was being swayed by Romano to stay earthbound. In the second season, two new characters (Delia Banks and Professor Rick Payne) are introduced, both of whom, by season's end, come to learn of Melinda's power and become survivors that ghosts want messages passed to
through Melinda. The second season arc revolves around the thinning "veil" between the living and the dead, evident in certain situations in second season episodes. By the end of the season, a second Ghost Whisperer was introduced. His arrival in Grandview sets the final events of a disastrous prophecy in motion, and the strengthening of the dark side over the Light.
The beginning of each episode normally revolves around Melinda first encountering the ghost(s) that will be crossed over in the episode. In their normally brief appearances, Melinda collects clues she later researches. After gaining a significant piece of information that drives the episode's plot further, the ghost(s) normally open
up to her, and tell her how it is she can help them find peace. Often, the messages the ghosts want Melinda to pass are confusing and as a result, she is normally met with questions and skepticism by those she is trying to give the message to- the families, friends and lovers of the ghosts. By the end of each episode, Melinda is usually able to complete her task and cross the ghost(s) from the respective episode over.

after each ep, i usually find myself clutching my tissue and bawling. hehehe...
i love that ep about the "lost boys". three boys living in an orphanage died because of a fire and they haunt the orphanage where melinda got some items for auction. sobrang kawawa naman mga orphans, they do not even have the privilege of being cared for sincerely, being hugged, having a family. hay. di ako natakot though the series is about ghosts and it's past midnight, i felt so sad for orphans, for those who died without having their own family.

hmmm...

NOVEMBER 29, 2005...

nang i-add nya ako sa friendster. mas accurate, nang i-approve nya ang invitation ko sa friendster.

after 2 years, 3 months and 3 days...

ala pa rin nangyari.

a letter for me

you don't know how i was deeply moved by this email and how after all these years ive kept this letter way back feb 2005...

dear tinay (or "tin" now),

yes, i do remember how during our
elementary days, we used to write each other almost everyday. it was funny,
really. we could've just talked personally. but i guess, writing letters made us
feel more open, made us feel like we could write anything there, no matter
how personal, and it would make the other person understand us more as she reads
what we wrote. it made me want to know you more, and be your friend.

15 (yes, 15) years later... here we are. you've grown, i've
grown, albeit apart and with different sets of people whom we
call barkada, friends. but somehow we are still connected by a
"bond". i don't know about you, but i have always considered you one of the best
friends i have ever had..

i may not have seen you every step; i
may not have been there through every time you faced a trial, and
every time you conquered each one. but you know that although we
may be physically apart, i have always been rooting for you... to me,
"failure" is not one of the words that should be associated with
you. you may have your little blunders here and there, but who doesn't? i
never doubted that you will pick yourself up and brush yourself off and
give it another go. to me, that's you tin.. strong, smart, spirited. and
this next step in your life is just another laurel to add to the
many more that you already have.

so let me be the first to
give a toast to my friend... you deserve nothing less. i know how
much you've gone through, but all the bitter will now be replaced by
the sweet. success is yours, not just with your graduation now,
but also in passing the bar, i'm sure of it. as usual, you will always be in my
prayers.

meanwhile, i'll stay on the sidelines and root for you
still.

Monique

thanks niq.

hay, sarap nya basa-basahin especially now na "low" ako.
